Did someone call for a portfolio?

Updated: May 21

As a web developer, I do things my own way in according with how I have been taught up to this point, as most business owners will. The major different between myself and a corporate-hired developer is that I choose to utilize editors instead of coding my own sites for a few specific reasons!

REASON ONE - Coding takes a lot more time than any small business would be willing to purchase!

It's no secret that owning and operating a business is a day-to-day expense, and there is nothing wrong with that at all if the owner plays their cards right! A large part of MY business has always been to avoid breaking the bank of my clients, which is why I take the route of focusing on the design phases of a website and only incorporate coding when I see something lacking in the design itself.

REASON TWO - Editors have security features that coding will never be able to provide as effectively.

Authentication, encryption, tech support, and more are all included in the security features of more than a few editors such as Wix, GoDaddy, Squarespace, Webstarts, WordPress, and many others. As long as their standards are adhered to you will be treated as a valued customer no matter which editor you decide to partner with for your business.

REASON THREE - Customization has a lot more to offer, to make absolutely sure that your website stands out in every way just as any business owner would prefer!

Coding will get you some pretty standard results from a designer's perspective, but if you want full - customization there is no better way than to utilize one of the world's top-notch site editors and all that comes with the package!

With all of this in mind, let me jump right in to the some of the projects I have been trusted with in recent months!

  1. Jayy's PC Express, HOME | Jayy's PC Express (jkollin.wixsite.com), was a contract that began as a simple website build, but quickly changed into me becoming a web developer for the company and wow do I miss working for them dearly, but as it turned out fate had other plans for Jayy, and that's okay because welcome to life! The site itself took the better part of a week to design with the bundle page taking over 3 hours by itself. When the project came to a close both owners were extremely happy with it, which put me over the moon!

  2. Ecklund's Services, Home | Ecklund Services, is a business that was in need of help in my area in the field and were sent to me through the referral of a trusted friend. Working with Vicky was an absolute delight, and in a funny way she quickly became a much-needed friend for me. Her site took about 5 days to complete and there was only a one - time payment. The site is still active at this time, so order some candles when you can, because I have been loving my wax melts.

  3. N.L.Taylor Secondlife Designs, Home | N L Taylor Designs (ottjoshua98.wixsite.com), is the most recent project I collaborated on, and likely the most casual one I have completed so far. Josh works in the fields of interior design, landscaping, and is a part-time blogger on a virtual server. As someone who has seen his gorgeous work first-hand, and provided you are familiar with the passion put into the businesses of Second Life, if you need some landscaping or design work done, you will want to visit is site ASAP!
